The blades self-penetrate into the ground and ensure quiet operation when pruning. The blades slide up to 23cm into the ground. The height-adjustable brake spur (chopping spur) allows you to adjust and change the working depth easily and comfortably. The brake spur helps the tines of the tiller to dig deeper into the ground (depth adjustment/regulation). The further down the chopping spur is adjusted, the deeper the device inserts into the earth. The chopping spur helps determine the working depth. Chopping depth is crucial to achieve optimal results. The setting may vary depending on the nature of the soil, for example, sandy or clay soil. The working width of the hoe can be modified according to needs and the bed. The IKRA FEM 1500 electric tiller offers three different working widths depending on use. By removing two chopping units you achieve a working width of approx. 30 centimeters. If you remove two additional units, you get a working width of 17cm, which is particularly practical and useful for narrow flowerbed sections in your garden. If you use the 6 tine units provided, 45cm opens across your garden. The tiller is driven by means of a worm gear operating in an oil bath. This gear is particularly robust and requires no maintenance. The gardening tool has a mechanical safety brake. The safety brake ensures that the device stops immediately if, for example, the ground becomes too hard or if stones block the blades. The integrated safety switch serves as an ignition lock (child safety). Only after pressing this lock button can the electric garden tool be put into operation, after operating the power switch. If the device heats up too much, for example due to excessive stress, the overload protection automatically switches it off immediately for safety and motor protection purposes. The integrated transport wheel or support wheel is ideal for effortlessly moving the hoe from one place of use to another.
